What could have caused my tv to shut off?

its a coincidence. certain tvs have an auto power thing to save electricity. my tv has it so when you dont use the tv for a while like change the channel or sound and it can tell if its late a night so it automatically shuts of your tv. happens to me al the time when im watching something at night.
