Flea med question as for a applying advantage?

I have a mini doxie and he has fleas we will be bombing the house Friday and continuing to vacuum daily but I would like to put advantage on him today. I gave him a comfortis pill on the 8 but I am afraid to try it again do to some of the side effects. Is it to early to apply the advantage?
