What causes the uvula to touch the tongue?

I realized that my uvula is touching my tongue, I wanted to know if this is normal. When I open my mouth and say Ahhh... it curls somewhat facing the entrance to my mouth. In words I feel my uvula is a bit long and wanted to know if this is normal. I am not overweight, I maintain a healthy diet, I work out, and have no sleeping disorders (snoring) or breathing disorders.
